Maths Champions
Montys Nursery and Pre-school is a dedicated Maths Championship Certificate Holder. Through the NDNA Maths Champions programme, our practitioners build children’s early maths confidence in everyday play — counting, shapes, patterns, measuring and problem-solving — so every child gets a strong start.
Early Years Foundation Stage

Mathematics
Exploring number, pattern, shape, space and measure through everyday experiences.
Children develop mathematical thinking as they count, compare, notice patterns, explore shapes and spaces, solve problems and make connections through meaningful play.
Understanding the World
Discovering people, places, nature and the world around us.
Children investigate their environment, communities and the natural world through curiosity, observation, exploration and first-hand experiences, making connections between what they already know and what they discover.
Expressive Arts and Design
Imagining, creating and expressing ideas in many different ways.
Through art, music, movement, materials, stories and imaginative play, children experiment, create and communicate their own ideas, thoughts and feelings.
Sports with Sporkids
Extra-curricular sport is included at no additional cost — building motor skills, confidence, fitness, concentration and self-esteem.
Brighter Together
We’ve partnered with the charity Brighter Together for intergenerational sessions with older adults. Games, stories, arts and crafts, nursery rhymes, snack time and conversation — boosting children’s confidence, language and wellbeing while bringing joy to the wider community.
